Commemorating the VII International Exhibition of Technology for the Defense and Disaster Prevention 2019 (SITDEF), last May 16th the Directorate of Hydrography and Navigation (DHN) presented the Naylamp II Project with the exhibition of one of the 4 MSM Oceanographic Buoys model EBM-OC 24.

The Naylamp II Project was born with the objective of studying and monitoring the phenomenon of “El Niño”. Whit this aim, Mediterráneo Señales Marítimas (MSM) has had the support of the best firms worldwide, being the Integrator of a Complete System In the acquisition of data in real time.

Each buoy EBM-OC 24 is equipped with the latest generation of sensors at different depths, among the main ones: Conductivity, Temperature and Dissolved Oxygen. It counts with a modem which sends information along the inductive cable that functions as an anchor train. It also includes a current meter and surface sensors. The EBM-OC 24 are multiple antivandal: impact sensor, intrusion sensor, surveillance and recording cameras, sound alarms, etc. Its elastomer float makes the buoy completely unsinkable, even through strong impacts, thus preserving the equipment that they incorporate.

We are very proud to participate in this project together with the DHN.
